- Within 15 feet (about 4.6 m) of a fire-station driveway
- Within 25 feet (about 7.6 m) of intersection curb lines; a different 15-foot reference applies where there are no curb lines
- Within 30 feet (about 9.1 m) on the approach side of a roadside flashing signal, stop sign, or traffic signal
- Beside or opposite roadwork or an obstruction when adequate passage cannot remain open
- On the roadway side of a vehicle already parked at the curb—commonly called double parking
